What would you say its your favorite thing about the Collage?","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[{"id":"32955190","body":"Hi Stefanny!
\n
\nHow I would describe Dartmouth is also my favorite thing about College. Dartmouth is like my home away from home. It's a small college (approx. 4,000 undergrad students) so everyone feels like a family. I have a group of friends from college who I never even had classes with, but I would just always see them around campus and we became great friends.
\n
\nDartmouth isn't a competitive school at all. Everyone wants to do well, but there is also a great balance between working hard and having fun.
\n
\nIn general, the best thing about college (no matter where you go) is your ability to find your passion. When I went to college I had no idea what I wanted to do. But then I got to Dartmouth and I took a variety of courses (religion, history, economics, science, art history, african american studies and so much more!) and it was great to have a taste of everything and not be stressed with high school drama (because we all know that high school is full of drama!). I ended up majoring in Psychology and a minor in Education.
\n
\nI could go on and on about how much I love Dartmouth. It was truly the best 4 years of my life!
\n

\n
\nok. other things i wanted to ask you about its that, What grade would you need to get in high school to be able to go into Dartmouth? And about how many classes can you take in a year?","dateCreated":"1296007972","smartDate":"Jan 25, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"StefCarty","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/StefCarty","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1292731435\/StefCarty-lg.jpg"}},{"id":"34228218","body":"Hi again! Sorry its taken me awhile to respond! I promise to respond much faster next time!
\n
\nSo Dartmouth is an Ivy League school so you do need to have really good grades throughout high school (Straight As and a couple of Bs perhaps).
\n
\nThe great thing about Dartmouth is that they do think about the whole person when they are admitting students. It's not just about SAT scores...it's about how well rounded of a person you are. Do you do other extracurricular activities, community service, leadership positions, play sports etc. and get good grades. Are you challenging yourself? Did you take the hardest courses your school had to offer? These are the kinds of questions Dartmouth Admissions thinks about when they are looking for candidates.
\n
\nDartmouth is on a Trimester system right now (although that might change in a few years) So you take 3 courses in 10 weeks. It doesn't seem like a lot but that means the courses move at a pretty fast and intense pace. So by the end of the year, you would have taken 9 courses.
\n
\nDartmouth also has this wonderful thing called Sophomore Summer...the summer before your Junior year, your entire class stays to take classes. It's really a great opportunity to get to know the other people in your class and have the entire campus to yourself over the summer! I absolutely loved my sophomore summer!!
\n
\nWhat do you like about Dartmouth so far? What made you interested in this school?","dateCreated":"1297733424","smartDate":"Feb 14, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"Ms.Osei-Bobie","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/Ms.Osei-Bobie","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1295579748\/Ms.Osei-Bobie-lg.jpg"}},{"id":"36626804","body":"i am really interested into Dartmouth for alot of different things 1st. ill be away from my parents! lolz (no offense to them) 2nd....well i dont know i guess its that i really like new Hampshire and always thought about going to live there once i grew up.
