Hey Mr.harran Mrs.D told us you know alot about sports, what is your favorite sport? -Fernando
Fernando, what's happening boss? I admit I haven't been much of an athlete since I was about your age. I try to play a lot of golf and I enjoy playing pick-up basketball with my friends. I am much more of a fan of sports. I will admit I am kind of obsessed. I follow almost every sport but my favorites are probably basketball and football. I am a huge NBA and NFL fan and my favorite teams are the New York Knicks and New York Jets.
Hey Mr.Harran i am too a big golf person i have my own clubs for golf and everything,and why are those teams your favorite? Why are you favorite teams New York teams? New England is waayyy better!!! -Fernando

Hello again Heather. Great to hear from you. Sorry for taking so long to respond to your question. A big part of adjusting to college is being able to handle your the independence that you have. The teachers are not going to be as involved in your learning as Ms. D and you're not going to have your parents or siblings or friends from home there with you. You are going to have to motivate yourself and be responsible for yourself. Everybody coming out of high school wants to have freedom and independence and going away to college provides you that. The more important thing is being able to handle it. I was very excited to be on my own but at first it was much harder to handle the independence than I expected. You can pretty much do whatever you want whenever you want when you're away at college, but it is important to make school your number one priority otherwise you won't be able to enjoy it for very long. The only person who can make your time in school worthwhile is you, and that can be a difficult adjustment to make.
I can tell that I am going to be nervous when I leave for college. I am going to try as hard as I can to maintain my freedom. I'm probably going to call my family and friends every chance that I get just because they aren't there with me. I know that I am going to stay connected with Ms.D because I know that I can go to her for help. I will probably still call her for help too. I am excited for college and being open to new experiences. - Heather
Hey Mr. Harren, I was thinking that i wanted to play sports in college, but its going to be hard because of all the work and meeting new people can be scary for me. when you play sports is it easier to make firends throoughout college? -Ashley
