Instructions:
You will be discovering, studying, and using a series of vocabulary words that will appear on both on your SATs and in your lives!
Attached are the lists of words. There is a list per page, and each page represents one week of new words.
You will need to make notecards of these words (I have notecards/index cards if you need some).
Glue or tape the word to one side and its definition to the other side of an index card.
Study these words! Use them in your writing! Use them in class! Use them at home! At the movies! Ice skating with Ms. D!
Weekly quiz:
Every Friday, beginning 1/7/10, you must post at least ONE sentence CORRECTLY using EACH of the appropriate week's vocabulary words. For example, for Week 1, I would post a response on the Week 1 Page. I would write one sentence using abate, one sentence using abdicate, one sentence using abhor, one sentence using abstain, one sentence using adversity, one sentence using aesthetic, one sentence using amicable, and one sentence using arid. This is your weekly quiz.
You will also get extra credit points for using weekly words in your daily vocabulary.
